Ellie Jayne Lewis Donnelly is a 21-year-old artist based in the north east of England. She graduated from Northumbria University with a BA in Fine Art in 2025 and is currently studying for an MA in Fine Art at Newcastle University. Her artistic practice revolves around the self, using her current emotions as motivation to create. As a figurative painter, Ellie branches out into other art forms such as drawing and printmaking, depending on what resonates best with her resources. She primarily works from photographs taken by herself or people close to her, fostering a sense of connection that informs her creations. Each piece she produces is unique, adding a layer of vulnerability that allows her to develop a deep love and respect for her work.
